Intentional Living. Intentional Dying.
A few summers ago, I was speaking with a woman who was nearing the end of her life. Her doctor had told her there were no more treatment options, leaving her feeling dismissed and wondering what was next.
“I just want to know that I did everything my soul came here to do.”
We all die. And many of us spend our lives avoiding that truth. When you’re facing a terminal illness, that’s no longer an option.
The questions become: How do I want to die? Is there unfinished business I want to tie up? How can I use this time to prepare my body, heart, and soul for what comes next? What is the meaning of my life and what is the legacy I’m leaving behind?
We can create intentional lives, and we can create intentional deaths.
As a trained therapist and death doula, I offer emotional and spiritual support to people who are preparing for death.
The work will be as unique as you are. Together, we might explore life review, legacy, trauma and grief, relationship healing, and more.
When helpful or necessary, I offer house visits to those within a 20 minute drive.
If you live farther away, I may still be able to come to you for an additional fee. Reach out and we can talk about your needs and our possibilities.
